Privacy policy

The short version

I collect what I need to evaluate your application and reply to it. I do not sell it, do not share it with advertisers, and do not add you to a mailing list. There is no newsletter to unsubscribe from because there is no newsletter.

What is collected, and why

• Name, email and phone number — to identify your application and reply to it.
• Your answers to the application questions — company, industry, size, the problem you are trying to solve, timeline, budget range and decision role. This is what I read to decide whether a call would be useful.
• Payment records — the amount, the Razorpay reference and the status. Card numbers, UPI IDs and bank details never reach this site. Razorpay handles those and this server never sees them.
• Booking details — the slot you chose and any notes you added.
• Technical information — IP address, browser user agent, and the page or campaign you arrived from. Used for spam prevention, rate limiting and knowing which channels bring genuine enquiries.

What is deliberately not collected

The application does not ask for, and I do not want, your religion, caste, health conditions, political views, gender or date of birth. If you volunteer information like that in a free-text answer, it is not used to assess you.

Cookies

One session cookie, which keeps you logged into your own application while you complete it. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics on this site.

Who else sees your data

• Razorpay — payment processing. Their privacy policy governs what they hold.
• The web host — the server storing the site and its database.
• The email provider — delivering messages between us.

Nobody else. No data broker, no advertiser, no partner network.

How long it is kept

Applications and booking records are kept for three years, which is long enough to remember a conversation we had and pick it up later. Payment records are kept for eight years because tax law in India requires it. Ask me to delete your data sooner and I will, except for the payment records I am legally obliged to retain.

Your choices

Email hello@murshidansari.com to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. No special form, no fee. I reply within seven days.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, database queries are parameterised, and administrative pages are not indexed and require a login. No system is perfect; if you find a problem, tell me at hello@murshidansari.com and I will fix it and credit you if you would like.
